My name is Ayanda Gumede. With a lifelong passion for art, I have successfully transformed my enthusiasm into a rewarding career, spanning over 15 years, as an art curator, art consultant, artist mentor, artist, and manager.

Throughout my journey, I have had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed institutions, including Kizo Art Gallery in Durban, Red Art Gallery, and Lee Art Gallery.

Notably, I have had the honor of managing the administrative aspects of the celebrated artist, Wakaba Mutheki, often referred to as the “African Van Gogh.” This experience has taught me that an artist’s success is not solely dependent on their talent, but also on the guidance, vision, and support of those who champion their work.

At my gallery, we understand the importance of fostering a nurturing environment that allows artists to thrive. We are committed to providing expert guidance, tailored support, and a platform for artists to showcase their talents, ensuring they receive the recognition they deserve.

Currently, I have the privilege of collaborating with an impressive roster of talented artists, including: Arlindo Maunde, Muzi Ndlela, Sihle Mthetwa, Sinalo Ntuli, Ronald Moyo, Retshidisitswe Ngqekeza, Itai Vangani, Thamsanga Mfuphi, Muzi Phiri, Samkelo Matomela.

These exceptional artists not only excel in their craft but also generously support my foundation, “The Art Club Foundation.” This organization is dedicated to advocating for and raising awareness about children with various disabilities. Through their kindness, these artists donate their time and artworks to help raise vital funds for our cause.
